The City of Rockwood is accepting bids from seal-coating contractors for the cleaning/sealcoating/striping of the parking lots at the Sports Complex (700 S. Chamberlain Ave.) and the Community Center (710 N. Chamberlain Ave.- upper & lower lots quoted separately).  Together all the jobs would comprise of approximately 227, 000 sq. ft.

The following specifications represent the scope of work to be completed and represent the minimum standards accepted for this work:

Cleaning- Clean and prepare surfaces to assure the sealer adheres properly. All grease and oil spots are to be treated with oil spot primer.

Hot Crack Repair- Vegetation will be stripped from cracks. Cracks are to be repaired and sealed with hot rubberized (tar) crack filler.

Sealing– Lots to be coated with two (2) coats of sealer and any appropriate additives.

Striping- Striping to be done in accordance to the direction of city staff.  

The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make bid awards as deemed to be in the city’s best interest.
