Rockwood Public Works Equipment Operator I Position Available
There is an Equipment Operator I position to be filled at Rockwood Public Works. The Equipment operator must have CDL Driver’s License or be able to acquire in an acceptable period of time according to the Director. This is responsible semi-skilled work involving the operation of heavy motorized equipment, including machinery used for road installation and repair, mowing shoulders and medians, trimming brush and removing debris from city streets, parks and roadways.
Job responsibilities require thorough knowledge and experience in heavy equipment, vehicle repair and maintenance, hydraulics, and routine preventative maintenance procedures, considerable knowledge of established safety guidelines for repair shop operations, strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills and experience monitoring annual budgets.
