The Rockwood Public Library serves as recreational, learning and an educational center for all residents of the area..

The library is a dependable source of reliable information and of challenging ideas that enlighten and enrich. The library offers materials in many formats that enhance leisure time and expand our knowledge of our world. The library encourages the love of reading and the joy of learning and offers the assistance people need to find, evaluate, and use electronic and print information resources that help us live successful and rewarding lives.

Wednesday 9:30am – 5:00pm
Saturday 9:30am – 4:00pm
Holidays are observed as scheduled with City Hall hours

The Rockwood Public Library offers the following to the public:
Books, Audio Books, Movies, Computers for public use, WI-FI, Resume Software, Copy and Printing(BW/Color), Scan to E-Mail, Faxing(in and out), Laminating, Interlibary Loans, Ebooks(READ), Tennessee Electronic Library and Genealogy.

Technology Resources
We have computers – and they are always busy!

Educational, professional, personal or recreational needs can be achieved on the computers at the Library.


Kids enjoy stories and games on these computers that are just for kids. Learning can be fun!

Hotspots for home use are now available for check-out

StoryTime for Preschoolers each Wednesday 10:30am(Sept-May) — stories, songs, crafts and fun Summer Reading.


Kids of all sizes (some with two feet and some with four) have fun at the Preschool Storytime.

Preschool Storytime starts August 9, 2023 at 10:30am and will be each Wednesday morning. Programs will include stories, crafts, songs, puppets and lots of fun. We encourage children to experience to joy of books and reading.

Book Sale starts Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
